Singapore - 11 March 2010 - Interesting and fun-filled activities are abundant at the Science Centre this March. From fantastic flying machines to explosive water rockets, the Science Centre promises to intrigue, excite and entertain with creative and innovative competitions and activities.

Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition (SAFMC) soaring into its second year.

The Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition (SAFMC) is back for a second year running and promises to be packed full of action! The competition returns bigger and better this year with close to 300 teams and over 1,000 participants. SAFMC is open to students from upper primary to tertiary level, with an open category for the public too. The public will get a chance to participate in the largest water rocket launch in Singapore and challenge fellow Singaporeans to the longest flight time achieved by a paper airplane. There will also be many inspiring workshops and fabulous prizes to be won. So let your imagination take flight and impress the nation with your ingenious flight creations!
